To enter you must purchase a derby ticket prior to catching a fish for entry and for each day ($5.00) you would like to participate, or a season pass ($25.00) may be purchased at participating businesses. Tickets are punched for the day you want to enter a qualifying steelhead. Take your uncleaned fish and ticket to one of these two weigh stations: Hook, Line & Sinker Riggins Tackle Shop 112 N Main Street or Riggins Motel 615 S Main Street, Riggins, Idaho.

1st Prize* – $2000
2nd Prize - Three people fishing on sled with River Adventures; two nights at Riggins Motel
3rd Prize – Two people a full day rafting with Mountain River Outfitters; two nights at Salmon Rapids Lodge

4th Prize - Two people full day rafting with Exodus; two nights at Big Iron Motel

5th Prize - $200 donated by Idaho Power

6th Prize - Unique Antler Design Fish Carving

7th Prize - $100 donated by Sattler Ins.

General Rules:

• All anglers must have a Idaho fishing license and abide by all Idaho fish and game rules and regulations
• Derby tickets must be purchased and punched by an official ticket vendor.
• It is the responsibility of each participant to read, be aware of and observe all Derby Rules and Regulations.
• Contestants must fish only on the Main Salmon River from the Confluence of the South Fork of the Salmon to the Confluence with the Snake River and also includes the Little Salmon River.
• If there is a tie, the first calendar entry will be announced as the winner
• All entry fish caught on a derby ticket must be measured before 7 pm on the day caught. The angler must present the fish as an entry for official measurement at one of the two official weigh stations, Hook Line and Sinker or Riggins Motel.
• All fish presented for entry must be whole with no abnormal coloring due to forced stretching and or unethical tampering to increase the size. Any Steelhead Derby official may disqualify any contestant, using their judgment, if there is any signs of impropriety.
• All entries and awarding of prizes are subject to review and final determination by the Riggins Salmon River Chamber of Commerce Derby committee.
• The Riggins Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to: photograph all derby entrants, reproduce any photographs for publicity purposes, and retain all photo rights.
• All prize winners are responsible to cover all taxes and fees associated with prize winnings. Prizes may be subject to withholding based on IRS requirements.
