The Cross O Ranch was established in 1890 and has seen five generations live in the same house at the same location. Nestled just outside of Riggins, the ranch lays at the bottom of the canyon next to the Salmon River when the beauty and views are absolutely breathtaking. Despite its harsh terrain, it is home to some of the most nutrient land, belly high grass and clear mountain springs that are perfect to raise and harvest cattle.
Derek and his wife Jessica made the decision to pack up their four kids and move back to the ranch after the death of Derek’s father, Dave. It was a completely new direction but a challenge that their family was ready to take on. They knew that Cross O Ranch had been well known near and far for the quality of cows and calves that were raised along the Salmon River and they were ready to share this greatness with the world!
Cross O Meats was born with the goal to allow everyone to truly know where their food comes from. Their purpose is for you to know and trust the rancher that raises and cares for the animal as well as ensure the humane processing with USDA certification.
Cross O Meat’s beef is grass fed, finished to perfection using local non-GMO barley and then dry-aged to create the tastiest premium beef you’ll ever experience! Bundles are available in all sorts of sizes and varieties to fit every family’s needs. We serve not only our local communities but can also ship all of our products directly to your door!
